2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT/SC

As a tribute to his best friend of over 50 years, Carroll Shelby dedicated and autographed this 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby as the “Petersen Shelby” at the 13th annual Cars and Stars event at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Just two months after Mr Petersen passed, the Museum held its auction.

The aluminum block Shelby GT/SC was only produced in 2007 (roughly 6000) and 2008 (roughly 3000). The Iron Block GT 500 is 400 lbs heavier than the GT and had roughly 1000 built per year. Roughly 59 Supercharged Shelby GT/SC were built at the Shelby factory in Las Vegas in 2007. This is one of approximately 47 factory equipped with the Paxton Supercharger. The Paxton supercharged model has a lower clearance, enabling Shelby to install a strut brace under the hood, enhancing cornering. This example is also equipped with an automatic transmission making it the rarest of the rare factory Shelby Mustangs ever built. Completely loaded, including a special dash-mounted instrument cluster and deleted side window louvers, and with less than 5,600 original miles, this is The One!
